Celebrate the comics of San Francisco native Raina Telgemeier including her highly popular autobiographical works Smile and Sisters, her award-winning graphic novels Drama and Ghosts, and her acclaimed adaptations of Ann M. Martin’s The Baby-Sitter’s Club series. The exhibition features an in-depth look at Telgemeier’s creative process and includes rare comics and photos from the artist’s own archives.
Join Raina for an afternoon conversation about her exhibit at the Cartoon Art Museum, followed by a meet and greet and photo op! Signed books will be available for purchase, but no books will be personalized. More info coming soon!
Raina will deliver this year's Margret and H.A. Rey Curious George Lecture! This event connects children and their families to the magic of reading through a personal experience with an author or illustrator. The lecture series—developed in partnership with the Margret and H. A. Rey Curious George Fund—creates a community celebration around outstanding, engaging books for young readers. Speakers are chosen in honor of Margret and H. A. Rey, Cambridge residents who created many beloved children’s books, including Curious George.
